Funeral services for Connie Joe Gryder will be held Tuesday, July 23, 2019 at 2:00 PM at the Assembly of God Church in Wetumka, Oklahoma. Interment will follow at the Wright Family Cemetery. Connie Joe Gryder was born April 23, 1955 in Henryetta, Oklahoma to Will Lewis Wright and Josephine Lily (Fish) Wright of Dustin, Oklahoma. She passed away Saturday, July 20, 2019 at her home in Wetumka, Oklahoma at the age of 64. Connie met Jackie Ray Gryder on a date in Dustin when she was 18 and they got married on July 20, 1973. She loved to work in her yard, flower beds and rose bushes as well as gardening and fishing and being outdoors. She loved animals and always had dogs and would take care of stray animals. Connie was a stay at home mom for most of her life but would also clean houses. After her children were grown, she started working as a health care provider with Mays Home Health. Connie loved spending time with her grandchildren and especially spoiling them. You could not discipline the great-grandkids around her and she did not like to be wrong. She is preceded in death by her father, Will Lewis Wright, mother, Josephine Wright and her sister, Sally Wright Survivors include her husband, Jackie Ray Gryder Sr. of Wetumka, Oklahoma; her daughter, Tracy Ann Gryder and husband Clay Armstrong of Checotah, Oklahoma; son, Jackie Ray Gryder and wife Erin Gryder of Mebane North Carolina; granddaughter, Kayla Michelle Gryder and grandson n law, Brent Churchhill of Henryetta, Oklahoma, grandson, Andrew Sumka of Alamogordo, New Mexico; granddaughters, Eden and Harper Gryder of Mebane North Carolina; great-granddaughters, Elaina Gryder Churchill, Linda Lease Churchill of Henryetta and Akasha Strickland of Ada; sister, Linda Fish, Brother; brother, David Wright and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and numerous friends. Serving as active pallbearers will be Randy Gryder, Bosy Wright, Daniel Barrett, Tony Fish and Brent Churchill. Honorary bearers will be Bobby Strickland and Bubbie Wright.
