Jess Harjochee

Jess Harjochee was born November 5th, 1976 in Wetumka, Oklahoma to Barney Harjochee and Deborah (Culley) Harjochee. Jess departed this life on January 1st, 2023, at the age of 46, surrounded by his loved ones. Jess was raised in the Mason community for most of his life. He attended and graduated from Mason School with the Class of 1995. Jess later graduated from OSU-IT earning his Associates Degree in Business. Jess was a member of the Okfuskee Ceremonial Ground. Jess is preceded in death by his parents: Barney and Deborah and companion, Michelle Lowe. Jess met and married Theda Toney, spent 20 years together and had 5 children: Jeay, Tayah, Dayna, Jessica and Neelah Harjochee. In later years, Jess met and spent his years with Michelle Lowe. Together they grew their family to 9 children and 3 grandchildren. Jess known to many as Head, loved spending time with family and friends. Jess loved to have family gatherings, making sure to provide his delicious Bar-B-Que fixings for everyone to enjoy. He was an avid Green Bay Packers and St. Louis Cardinals fan, watching every game he could. Jess loved to play softball and basketball. He was always willing to show anyone his pitching, post moves or shooting skills. Jess loved to joke and make people laugh, his laugh will forever be missed. Jess courageously fought the effects of covid for nearly 2 years, yet he managed to check on his children, his brother and family every chance he got. Jess fulfilled the wishes of his children, to have one more New Year’s Eve, he passed shortly after midnight on New Year’s Morning. Head will forever be missed by those who loved him. Jess is survived by his brother Paul Harjochee and Sister-in-Law Billie Proctor of Henryetta. One Son: Jeay Harjochee, 4 daughters: Tayah, Dayna, Jessica and Neelah Harjochee all of Henryetta. Nathan Postoak and Adana, Ashlynn and Zack McEwin all of Okemah, Tyler Acosta of Tulsa and Konor Lowe of Holdenville. Grandmother Lorene Culley of Wetumka. 3 nieces: Nakea, Aliyah and Kaci Harjochee and One nephew Isaiah Proctor all of Henryetta. Mother of his children, Theda Harjochee of Henryetta. Aunts: Irene Culley, Mary Culley and Molly Lawhead. Uncles: Tim “Bunji” Harjochee and Neva and Arron Culley and a host of dear cousins, family and friends Services under the direction of Parks Brother’s Funeral Home of Okemah. Wake Services will be held Wednesday—January 4th at 7 pm. Funeral Services will be held Thursday—January 5th at 1 pm both at the Salt Creek Baptist Church in Wetumka, Ok. Services officiated by Reverend Timothy Coon. Interment will be in the Unusee-Harjochee Family Cemetery. Pallbearers: Brian Culley, Corey King, Cordell King, Jeremiah Johnson, Jacob Johnson, Devon Pack, Cody Phillips and Adam West.
