Georgia Delores "Dee" Bear

Wake service for Georgia Delores Bear will be held Thursday, June 26, 2025, at the Okfuskee Indian Community Center at 1:00 P.M. and continuing through the night. Please join us in honoring her life on Friday, June 27, 2025 at the Community Center. A meal will be served at 11:00 A.M., followed by the memorial service at 1:30 P.M. We welcome your presence as we gather in remembrance and celebration. Inurnment will follow at the Knight Family Cemetery near Okemah. Georgia was a beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother. She was known affectionately by those who knew her as “Dee.” Dee and David Bear have had a beautiful life together for 40 years. They were married in 1985 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Dee was the proud mother of three children who were held in her heart for many years and deeply loved. She was also blessed with three more children: Danny and Shelby Jones of Oklahoma City, Muriel Wright of Moore, Oklahoma, and CeeJay “CJ” and Reuben Culley of Seminole, Oklahoma. Dee cherished each of her children and found tremendous joy in their lives. Her family continued to grow with many beloved grandchildren, who brought her immeasurable happiness through the years. She loved helping people and had a huge heart. She enjoyed the beach, reading, traveling to new places, sewing, and shopping for neat things. Her most joyous times were spending time with family. She also enjoyed cooking for them and made the best salt meat ever!! She loved her fur babies- Rocky, Toby, Suzy, Minnie, Zeek, Scooter, Smokey and Newton. Dee was an accountant and worked for the department of Education for 23 years. Dee is preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Mary Moses, one brother, Burt Moses, and one sister, Alene Adams. She is also preceded in death by her maternal mother, Pricilla Arkeketa, maternal grandparents, George & Grace Kihega. Survivors include her children, 8 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and her beloved husband, David Bear. She is also survived by 3 brothers, Victor Primeux, Garland Arkeketa, and Charlie Arkeketa; and one sister, Rosetta Blueback. Services will be under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home, Okemah, Oklahoma and officiated by Family Members.
