Mr. Gary Michael Bunner

Funeral services for Gary Michael Bunner will be held Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at 2:00 PM at the Little Quarsarty Church in Cromwell, Oklahoma. Interment will follow at the Quarsarty Church Cemetery also in Cromwell, Oklahoma. Gary Michael Bunner (known by MIke) was born May 27, 1954 in Okemah, Oklahoma to David and Ethel (Wind) Bunner. He passed away Thursday, November 30, 2017 in Okmulgee at the age of 63. He was baptized at the Little Quarsarty by Pastor Roman Harjo. Mr. Bunner has been a resident of the Okemah area most of his life. He attended Bearden school until 8th grade then went to Butner where he graduated in 1972. He worked as a self-roof helper until his health became bad. Mike lived at the Highland Park Manor in Okmulgee, Oklahoma for many years and enjoyed all their Highland workers until his death. He loved his son and his family very much. He was very proud of his grandkids. Mike was an OU fan and liked all sports, listened to Creek songs, liked to watch TV and movies, and liked to draw and paint Indian pictures before he got sick. He is preceded in death by his parents; Ethel and David Bunner; one daughter, Cheryl Bunner; one grandson, Austin Bunner, 2 Brothers; David (Larry) Bunner, Kenneth ( Kenny), one sister; Brenda (Bunner) Casey, Nephews; Kenny Lyn Bunner, Dusty Bunner, Nieces; Misty (Bunner) Kahbeah and LaDonna (Wally) Sumka. Survivors include one son; Mathew Bunner and wife Tammy, Three granddaughters; Deanna Bunner, Elizabeth Bunner, Misty Bunner all of Carnegie, One Grandson; Brad Bunner of Carniegie, Oklahoma; one brother, Oscar Bunner of Wewoka, Oklahoma; two sisters, Patricia Bunner and Lorene Rabbit of Morse, Oklahoma and Marjorie (Bunner) Kelley of Glenpool, Oklahoma , Aunt; Joy Spocogee, Two sister-in-laws; Grace Bunner and Martha Bunner.and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends. Serving as active pallbearers will be Ryan Bunner, Jared Bunner, Jonathan Cheek, Justin Morrison, Adam Harjo, Allen Ritter, Brad Bunner and Justin Miller. Awake Service; Rev. Daniel Wind on Monday, December 4, 2017 at 6:30- 7:30 PM at Parks Brothers Funeral Home Chapel. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home, Okemah and officiated by Rev.
